Abstract
Un proceso de fusion y reduccion de metal que comprende el calentamiento de una carga que comprende un componente que contiene metal y un componente quecontiene carbon de un horno de induccion del tipo de canal a los fines de reducir dichocomp onente metálico, en donde por lo menos parte de losproductos gaseosos del proceso se utilizan para precalentar la carga antes de la introduccion en el horno y un aparato para llevar a cabo dichoprecalentamiento.
