Abstract

Un substrato poroso revestido compuesto por un polímerohidrófobo que esta substancialmente revestido de manera uniforme con un material poliméricohidrófilo. El substrato puede ser un material en forma de lámina, ejemplos de los cuales sonespumas , fibras y tejidos fibrosos. Los tejidos serándeseablemente tejidos tramados al azar. El revestimiento del substrato es durable en un medio acuoso a una temperatura de entre 10*C y 50*Caproximadamente y no suprime significativamente latensión de superficie de un medio acuoso con el cual el substrato revestido puede entrar en contacto. Elpolímero hidrófobo puede ser una poliolefina, por ejemplo, polietileno o polipropileno. El material polimérico hidrófilo con el cual serevisten l asfibras de polímero puede ser un polisacárido o un polisacárido modificado. También se proporciona un método para preparar un substrato poroso revestidoque implica proporcionar un substrato poroso compuesto por un polímerohidrófobo.
