Abstract

Un receptáculo par terminar una fibra óptica en un dispositivo activo como ser fotodetector o una fuente luminosa de estado sólido, el receptáculo incluyeuna cubierta, un dispositivo de fijación terminal de una fibra óptica, una puerta ubicadaen la abertura polarizada hacia una posición cerrada y posee unmedio de enganche para recibir en forma desprendible una clavija de fibra óptica así como una placa removible a fin de permitir el acceso al interior dela cubierta. El dispositivod e fijación terminal y el dispositivo activo pueden ser montados sobre un substrato común adherido a una porción interior de lacubierta. El dispositivo de fijación terminal incluye una base y una proyección adherida a la base y próxima aun a porción de transmisión de luz dela misma, teniendo dicha proyección una ranura de recepción de fibras dirigida hacia una superficie de tope de fibras ubicada sobre la porción de transmisiónde luz de la base. La base puede tener una lentemoldeada en forma integral con una porción de transmisión de luz. El dispositivo activo se posiciona conrespecto al dispositivo de fijación terminal a los efectos de recibir luz desde y/o transmitir luz hacia cualquier fibra cuya porción terminal seubique en laranura en v y empalme con el tope de fibras. Se puede utilizar una placa óptica opcional a los efectos de ajustar las características ópticas del dispositivode fijación terminal.
