Abstract
Un proceso para eliminar incrustaciones del acero inoxidable empleando una solución acuosa que contiene peróxido de hidrógeno y un acido inorgánico, esdecir ácido clorhídrico o sulfúrico. Una tira de acero inoxidable laminado en caliente orecodid o cubierta con incrustaciones es sumergida en ácidoinorgánico caliente contenido dentro de tanques de limpieza química de metales. Posteriormente la tira puede tener cantidades residuales de incrustacionesfirmemente adheridas. Estasincrustaciones so n activadas por una solución que contiene el ácido inorgánico y peróxido de hidrógeno aplicada a la tira, porejemplo por un cabezal de rociado que se extiende completamente en dirección transversal y está colocado por encimade la tira y otro ca bezal de rociado quese extiende completamente a lo ancho y está colocado debajo de la tira. Puede ser aconsejable pasar la tira activada a través del ácido inorgánico una vezmás y reactivar la tira a velocidades de línea muyelevadas para garantiza r la remocion completa de las incrustaciones de la tira. El peróxido de hidrógenoque pueda escurrirse de la tira es recogido en una bandeja recolectora y enviada hacia un tanque. De preferencia, la solución acuosaagotada recogida,que contien e el ácido inorgánica y el peróxido de hidrógeno usado, es descartado en los tanques de bano químico. La solución acuosa contribuye a laeliminación de cualquier incrustación residual y suciedad que haya quedadoen la tira, mejorando así l a limpieza de la tira danada.
