Abstract

Se refiere a suelas de calzado de poliuretano microcelular. Más específicamente, se refiere a suelas intermedias y suelas unitarias depoliuretano microcelular que presentan propiedades físicas mejoradas, preparadas a partir de composiciones que presentan una mayor capacidad deprocesamiento. Se ha encontrado ahora en forma sorprendente que es posible obtener importantes e inesperadas mejoras en las propiedades físicas depoliuretanos microcelulares obtenidos por la reacción de un elongador de cadena de diol y un componente de isocianato que en su mayor porcentaje,es un polímero terminado en isocianato, cuando el componente de prepolímero terminado en isocianato es un prepolímero con un contenido de 12-20%de NCOpreparado por medio de la reacción de un exceso estequiométrico de uno o más isocianatos con por lo menos un polioxipropilendiol de baja insaturación con unpeso molecular de entre aproximadamente 2000 Da y 8000 Da, una insaturación de menos de 0,02 meq/g, y un contenido de óxido de etileno al azar de entre 5moles por ciento y 15 moles por ciento. La reacción entre el componente de isocianato y el elongador de cadena de diol se lleva a cabo en presencia deuna cantidad de agua efeectiva para producir un elastómero de densidad aproximada entre 0,15 g/cm3 y 0,060 g/cm3 y en presencia opcional de uno omás dispersiones de polímero de poliol y con un índice de isocianato de entre aproximadamente 75 y aproximadamente 130.Los poliuretanos microcelularespreparados a partir de los prepolímeros tienen mayor resistencia a la tracción, resistencia a la elongación y al desgarramiento, particularmente unaresistencia al desgarramiento de 90*.
