Abstract
En una red de telefonía celular TDMA o CDMA que incluye múltiples áreas de registro y en situaciones de la reselección de la celda de la estaciónmóvil entre una celda ubicada en una primera área de registro y una celda ubicada en una segunda área de registro, la estación móvil procesa lasmediciones de intensidad de senal de canal piloto o de control teniendo en cuenta tanto una histéresis de reselección convencional como una histéresisde registro adicional. La estación móvil llevaa cabo la reselección cuando la intensidad de senal medida del canal piloto o de control con respecto a lasegunda celda de área de registro excede la intensidad de senal del canal piloto o de control, medida con respecto a la primera celdade área de registroen el total de la suma tanto de la histéresis de reselección como de la histéresis de registro. Esto dificulta aún más la obtención de una reselecciónde celda de área de inter-registro con el beneficio de reducir al mínimola posibilidad de incurrir en un consumo innecesario de recursos de sistema y deinterfase de aire celular debido al tránsito de la estación móvil hacia atrás y hacia adelante entre las dos áreas de registro.
