Abstract
Se proporciona un método no-oxidante para tratamiento de lentes de contacto y una solución acuosa útil en dicho método, que incluye compuestosfosfónicos de fórmula (I), donde Z es un radical de conexión que tiene una valencia igual a n, siendo n unentero de 1 a 6, y que contiene 1 a 12 átomosde carbono y donde Z se selecciona del grupo que consiste en radicales hidrocarburo saturado sustituido o sin sustituir y radicales que contienenamina. El método incluye el contacto d e una lentecon dicha solución acuosa que comprende un compuesto de ácido fosfónico. En los modos de realizaciónpreferidos de la invención, los compuestos fosfónicos se utilizan en combinación con agentes antimicrobianos para proporcionar desinfección ylimpieza simultáneas de las lentes de contacto que incluye la prevención o eliminación de depósitos de proteina.
