Suitable binder fibers include, for example, polyolefin fibers such as polypropylene fibers, the cost of which is lower than, for example, bicomponent fibers. Thus, inexpensive fibrous random woven fabrics can be generated that are especially well suited for limited or single use applications including absorbent personal hygiene items disposable clothing items and surgical and aseptic items such as surgical drapes and sterilization wrap. .
