Abstract

Se provee una composición para ser usada tal como es o biendiluida con agua y un proceso para formar una cobertura de conversión de fosfato.A combination of a bi-functional organic acid, preferably a hydroxy acid such as citric acid, or a salt thereof with acrylic acid / acrylate polymers, in liquid compositions forming a zinc osphate conversion coating, preferably also containing hydroxylamine, which results in a refinement of the crystal size in the coating already formed and / or in a more rapid formation of a coating thick enough to protect against subsequent oxidation of a ferrous substrate. A composition is provided to be used as is or well diluted with water and a process for forming a phosphate conversion coating.
