Abstract

The current invention is to a fish pen arrangement comprising a fish pen(1) having a double net wall (14, 16, 20, 22) comprising an inner net bag (14) and an external net bag (16), the inner net bag having a conical inner bottom net (20) and the external net bag having a conical external bottom net (22). The fish pen further comprises a circular buoyant collar, a circular bottom ring under the collar, and the inner and outer net bags arranged between the collar and the bottom ring. A lower part of each net wall is attached to a pulldown body (36) comprising an upper attachment point (28) attached to a pointed end of the inner bottom net and a lower attachment point (30) attached to a pointed end of the external bottom net with a certain distance to each other arrange between the lower parts of the inner and outer net bags, and wherein, by pulling down the pull-down body (36) using a winch mounted on the sea bed, the net walls are tensioned such that they are spread out from each other, and are not in contact with each other. This prevents the nets from rubbing against each other and therefore reduces the likelihood of abrasive damage.

Claims (9)

1. A fish pen arrangement comprising a fish pen having a double net wall comprising an inner net bag and an external net bag, the inner net bag having an inner bottom net and the external net bag having an external bottom net, wherein a lower part of the inner bottom net and a lower part of the external bottom 5 net are attached to a common pulldown body arranged therebetween, the wn body having an upper attachment point and a lower attachment point having a n distance between each other, wherein the fish pen comprises a ar buoyant collar, a ar bottom ring arranged under the buoyant collar, the inner net bag and the external net bag are 10 substantially cylindrical and arranged between the buoyant collar and the bottom ring, the inner bottom net is ntially conical and arranged as an extension of inner net bag, the lower, external bottom net is substantially conical and arranged as an extension of the external net bag, and wherein the upper attachment point of the pulldown body is attached to a pointed end of the inner bottom net and the lower 15 attachment point is attached to the pointed end of the external bottom net, and wherein the fish pen arrangement comprises a winch d on the sea bed, arranged to apply a downward force on the wn body sufficient to pull the buoyant collar beneath a water surface, thereby tensioning the inner and external net bags such that the external net is spread out from the inner net. 20
2. Fish pen arrangement according to claim 1, wherein the net bags have integrated tension ropes arranged to absorb the tension forces from the winch.
3. Fish pen arrangement according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the upper and lower attachment points of pulldown body comprises an upper bottom cone and a lower bottom cone separated by a distance post, the distance post in the form of a pipe, having an opening above the upper bottom cone, which pipe is connected to a n hose, which pipe is arranged to suck in waste 30 from the fish pen.
4. Fish pen arrangement according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the fish pen further comprises a substantially conical roof construction comprising several elongated arms attached on their lower ends to the buoyant collar, and on their upper ends to a circular frame, and wherein one or two roof nets are arranged on top of or suspended from the arms to form g on the fish pen.
5. Fish pen ement according to claim 4, wherein the circular frame is tight, and arranged to form an air-filled dome ng air in the case the fish pen is pulled beneath the surface. 10
6. Fish pen arrangement according to claim 4 or 5, wherein at least two of the arms are arranged at a distance from each other to form an access zone, and wherein the roof nets in the access zone are each equipped with a zipper.
7. Fish pen arrangement according to any one of claims 1 to 6, 15 wherein the t collar comprises a walkway.
8. A method of arranging a fish pen, comprising the steps of: a. ing a fish pen as defined in any one of claims 1 to 7, b. connecting the inner net bag and the external net bag to a buoyant collar, 20 c. connecting a winch installed on the seabed to the pulldown body, d. activating the winch to pull down the fish pen such that the buoyant collar is pulled down beneath the surface, whereby the inner and external net bags are placed under tension and ted from each other. 25
9. The fish pen arrangement according to claim 1, substantially as herein described with reference to any one of the
