Abstract

A resin container 1 comprising a neck section 2 to which a cap can be detachably attached, a shoulder section 3 formed continuously from the neck section 2, a body section 4 formed continuously from the shoulder section 3 and a bottom section 5 formed continuously from the body section 4 and located at a lowermost portion. The container 1 further comprises a cushioning section 10 placed towards the bottom section of the body section to be elastically deformable in a vertical direction and having a primary groove 20 that extends around the entire circumference of the body section 4. The primary groove 20 has a width that progressively increases radially outwards. The cushioning section 10 includes secondary grooves 21 extending around the entire circumference thereof and provided on each of an upper side and a lower side of the primary groove 20. The primary groove 20 has a depth greater than a depth of any one of the secondary grooves 21.
