Abstract

Disclosed herein are magnetocaloric materials, processes for their production and to their use in coolers, heat exchangers or generators, in particular refrigerators. The magnetocaloric material being selected from: (MnxFe1-x)2+zP1-ySiy Wherein: 0.20 ≤ x ≥ 0.40 0.40 ≤ y ≥ 0.8 -0.1 ≤ z ≥ 0.1.
