Abstract

601144 A heavy load trailer (100) suitable for attachment to a prime mover is disclosed. The trailer includes a front steerable self-tracking axle (115), rear steerable self-tracking axle (120) and a non-steerable axle set (125) positioned between the front and rear axles. A frame (110) is supported by the front, rear and non-steerable axles. The self-tracking axles advantageously provide improved manoeuvrability and reduce damage to road infrastructure as they produce less scuffing on road surfaces.
