Nye trisykliske forbindelser med formel (1.0) eller et farmasøytisk akseptabelt salt eller en oppløsning derav, hvori: en av a, b, c og d betegner N eller NR9, hvori R9 er O", CH3 eller (CH2)nCO2H, hvori n er 1-3, og de resterende a-, b-, c- og d-grupper betegner CR1 eller CR2; eller a, b, c og d er uavhengig av hverandre utvalgt fra CR1 eller CR2; R1 og R2 er uavhengig av hverandre ut- valgt fra H, halogen, CF3, OR 10 CO- R 10 SR 10 , S(0)tRi:L (hvori t er O, l 10 eller 2), SCN, N(R^) 2, NR OC(0)R10, C02R10, OC02R11 (0)R10, NHS02R10 ¿"«"10 'R11, N02, CN, NHC- CONHRiu, CONHCH2- CH2OH, NR10COOR11, SR1XC(O)OR1l, SR11N(R75)2; n er O, l, 2, 3, 4, 5 eller 6; T er CO, SO, S02, eller CR30- R31; Z betegner alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, heteroalkyl, heteroaryl, heteroaryl- alkyl, heterosykloalkyl, heterosyklo- alkylalkyl, OR40, SR40, CR40R42, NR40R42, formlene (i), (ii), (iii), (iv), (v) og (vi) (III) (v) Farmasøytiske preparater som er inhibi- torer av enzymet farnesylproteintrans- ferase er også beskrevet.
