Abstract
Ved fremgangsmåten og apparatet i henhold til foreliggende oppfinnelse bestemmes jordformasjonsresistivitet i større dybder innover i formasjonen ved bruk av telemetri-overføringssignaler for måling av formasjonens resistivitet. Disse telemetri-overføringssignaler bærer måledata fra nedhulls-følere gjennom formasjonen til en mottaker lenger opp i borehullet. Signaloverføringen finner sted ved hjelp av induksjonstelemetri. I mottakeren blir signalet demodulert for å utlede de overførte måledata. Under deteksjonen av signalet i mottakeren blir også signalamplituden utledet og benyttet for å bestemme formasjonens resistivitet. I tillegg blir også forandringer i signalamplituden utnyttet for å anvise formasjonens gren-ser med det formål å bestemme brønnens plassering under retningsboring.
