Abstract

Kraftmasse blekes til en akseptabel lyshet (f.eks. 86 ISO eller mer) uten å anvende klorerte organiske forbindelser, men likevel holder styrken til den produserte masse seg kommersielt akseptabel. Ved fremstillingen av masse blir massen som er kokt og delignifisert med oksygen til et kappatall på 14 eller derunder, deretter bleket med ozon ved middels konsistens. Etter ozonbehandlin- gen blir tungmetaller fjernet fra mas- sen, og massen blir deretter ført til oksygen- og/eller peroksidbehandling som er etterfulgt av et annet ozonbleketr- inn. Sekvensen (ZT) (EOP) (ZP) er foretrukken.
