Abstract

Fremgangsmåte for restaurering av en brukt gjenstand anvendt for elektro- lyse, så som i en klor-alkalicelle. Den brukte gjenstand er vanligvis celledia- fragmaet, men kan være en celleelek- trode, spesielt når den foreligger i montasje med cellediafragmaet. Res- taureringsmetoden innbefatter behand- ling av gjenstanden, typisk mens den befinner seg på plass i cellen, men som også kan fjernes fra cellen, ved bløt- legging i en behandlingsblanding som nesten alltid inneholder saltsyre og korrosjonsinhibitor. Etter behandlingen kan gjenstanden bakes ved forhøyet tem- peratur. Når baking benyttes, kan dette utføres før bløtleggingen. Med eller uten baking kan eller kan ikke gjen- standen utsettes for et fuktningstrinn. Dersom restaureringen omfatter en gjen- stand anvendt i en klor-alkalicelle, kan restaureringen lett redusere prob- lemet med hydrogen i det produserte klorprodukt. En slik behandling kan også føre til redusert cellespenning så vel som redusert celleanolyttnivå.
