Abstract

The downhole tool (5) could be a sealing / packing tool used to provide a pressure / fluid barrier. The controllable movement can cause the extensions (50) to be brought in close proximity to an inner surface of a wire (55). The tool may further comprise an elastically deformable packing element (10).
