Abstract

En fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av en avfallsbasert cellulosemasse egnet for fremstilling av papir og kartong enten benyttet i blanding med råmasse eller som eneste masse- bestanddel, omfattende følgende trinn: a) koking av celluloseholdig avfallsmateriale i en vandig kokelut med en pH som er mindre enn ca. nøytral og som inneholder fritt og/eller bundet S02 samt en base, (b) utførelse av koking med utelukking av atmosfærisk oksygen ved en høy temperatur, f.eks. i området ca. 120° til 160°C og et tilsvarende øket trykk, og (c) gjenvinning av den resulterende cellulosemasse.
