Abstract
Fremgangsmåte for reversibel omdanning av et hydro- karbon til en fase som er mer egnet for etterfølgende håndtering, men hvorfra det opprinnelige hydrokarbon lett kan gjenvinnes. Hydrokarbonet samtnenføres med et første reagensmiddel, vanligvis en fettsyre og tilsettes deretter i et andre reagensmiddel, vanligvis en blanding av lateks og et acetat, for frembringelse av et absorberende stoff, som ved å absorbere hydrokarbonet danner et homogent pro- dukt. Elastisiteten av dette homogene produkt kan regu- leres. Det homogene produkt kan lett håndteres, oppsamles og flyttes, og det originale hydrokarbon kan gjenvinnes helt enkelt ved fordamping, destillering eller gjenopp- løsing av det homogene produkt. Oppfinnelsen er særlig egnet for gjenvinning av hydrokarboner fra et oljeflak på vann, for avtetting av lekkende eller beskadige beholdere for flytende hydrokarboner, for tilbereding av faste brennstoffer og for demping av oljebrønn-branner.
