Abstract

Det er beskrevet en fremgangsmåte for behandling av gjødsel, flytende gjødsel og/eller KJeldahl-N holdig avløpsvann som utsettes for en nltrifisering i en luftet reaktor, inneholdende aktivt slam og for en denitriflsering ved en høy hastlghets-reslrkulerings- denitrifiseringsreaktor (13) inneholdende en meget kompakt biomasse som er istand til å omsette nitrat til nitrogengass. Belastningen av nitrifiserlngsreaktoren (9) kontrolleres for å oppnå en optimal nitrifisering og denitrifiserlng og utløpet fra nitrifiserings- reaktoren (9) blir delvis ført til denitrifiserings- reaktoren (13) ved tilførsel av en karbonkilde til utløpet som føres til reslrkulerings-denltrifiserings- reaktoren (13) og den andre delen av utløpsstrømmen fra nitrifiseringsreaktoren (9) føres til et separa- sjonstrinn (19) for å separere slam. Utløpet fra separasjonstrinnet (19) føres til en tømmeledning- denitrifiseringsreaktor (37) under tilsetting av en karbonkilde om ønskelig. Det er også beskrevet en anordning for å utføre fremgangsmåten.
