Abstract

En blanding på basis av benzyltouluen, metylbenzyl- touluen, benzylxylen og metylbenzylxylen kan eventuelt Inneholde disses benzyl- eller metylbenzylderivater. Denne blanding fremstilles ved klorering av en blanding av xylen og touluen hvortil man deretter setter en Frledel - Crafts¿katalysator. Etter destillering av touluen og xylen i overskudd oppnås en væske som kan anvendes som dielektrikum og som oppviser den fordel at den forblir flytende inntil meget lave temperaturer.
