Abstract

Apparat som skal bringe faststoffer i partikkelfonn i kontakt med et fluid, og innbefattende en innmontert sil (14). Apparatet omfatter en langstrakt kolonne (10) hvori et lag av faststoff i partikkelform skal bringes i kontakt med et fluid, og kolonnen er konstruert for å stå stort sett vertikalt under bruk og har et fluidinnløp (11) nær bunnen for innføring av et fluid i kolonnen, og et fluidutløp (13) nær toppen, for avleding av fluidet etter at dette har passert oppad gjennom et lag av faststoff-partikler i kolonnen. Silen skal utskille faststoffer fra fluidet som forlater kolonnen gjennom fluid-utløpet. Silen omfatter et antall vertikale sll-tråder (15) og er slik innplassert i kolonnen at alt fluid som strammer gjennom kolonnen, passerer gjennom s-.ilen og videre gjennom fluidutløpet. Hvert par innbyrdes nærmestliggende, vertikale sil-tråder avgrenser en stort sett vertikal, mellomliggende sil-sliss. Hver sil-sliss har en åpning som ved den side av silen som er den fremre med hensyn på bevegelsesretningen av et fluid som strømmer gjennom kolonnen, passerer gjennom silen og ut gjennom utløpet når kolonnen er i funksjon, har en bredde som er tilpasset for utskilling av faststoff-partikler fra det utstrømmende fluid, og en lengde som er betydelig større enn bredden.
