Abstract
Ved marine seismiske undersøkelser skal det Ifølge oppfinnelsen anvendes minst to marine hydrofonkabler som står l avstand fra hverandre vertikalt og som hver Inneholder flere seismiske detektorer. En seismisk energikilde som er anbragt ved eller nær overflaten av en vannmasse, blir så benyttet til å frembringe seismiske bølger som forplanter seg Inn l Jordforma- sjonene under vannet og reflekteres tilbake opp for å bil påvist ved hver hydrofonkabel. Seismiske bølger blir også reflektert fra skilleflaten mellom vann og luft tilbake ned mot hydrofonkablene og må skilles fra de oppadgående seismiske bølger for å øke nøyaktigheten ved resultatet. Seismiske bølger som påvises ved to valgte seismiske detektorer som står l avstand fra hverandre vertikalt, settes sammen for å danne et sumslgnal som deretter føres sammen med en skalert tldslntegral av et dlfferanseslgnal for å danne det resulterende signal som bevarer enten de oppadgående eller nedadgående seismiske balger.
