Abstract

In this way, hydraulic lines do not need to be routed separately from the surface to the tree. Alternatively, hydraulic pressure can be generated by a well tool using power and control line extending from the tree to the well equipment. As another alternative, the well tool may be guided by an electric motor located downhole adjacent the wellbore equipment and driven and controlled by wires extending from the tree to the well site.
