Abstract

Den foreliggende oppfinnelsen er rettet mot en forbedret katalysatorfastfase og til den resulterende katalysatoren egnet for å behandle eksosprodukter fra innvendige forbrenningsmotorer, særlig dieselmotorer. Fastfasen av den foreliggende oppfinnelsen er en struktur omfattende partikulær aluminakjerne som har høy porøsitet og overflateareal, hvori strukturen har fra omtrent 1 til omtrent 40 vektprosent silika i formen av kledning på overflatearealet av nevnte aluminakjerne. Den resulterende fastfasen har et normalisert svovelopptak (NSO) på opp til 15 µg/m2.
