Abstract
Oppfinnelsen vedrører en fremgangsmåte for å fremstille renset hydrokinon og med forming av det samme. oppfinnelsen skal anvendes for å oppnå et renset hydrokinon fra råforbindelser som i alt vesentlig inneholder hydrokinon assosiert med svært små mengder forurensninger som inkluderer resorcinol og pyrogallol. Oppfinnelsen skal også anvendes for å oppnå hydrokinon i en form som er enkel å håndtere. Fremgangsmåten ifølge oppfinnelsen, som begynner med et råhydrokinon inneholdende de ovennevnte forurensninger, er kjennetegnet ved at den inkluderer et destillasjons-rensetrinn hvor resorcinolen og pyrogallolen kan elimineres, direkte etterfulgt av et trinn hvor det rensede hydrokinonet dannes.
