Abstract

Det er beskrevet en fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av 1,4-difenyl azetidinon derivater fra egnet beskyttede (3-substituerte aminosyrer i nærvær av siluleringsmidler. Fremgangsmåten anvender ringslutningskatalysatorer som omfatter fosfoniumioner som kationet av formel (XII), og ioner av de følgende generelle formlene (a), (b), (c) eller (d) som anion. I de nevnte formlene er symbolene, substituentene og indeksene definert som følger: Z = C=O, C=S, S=O, SO2 eller C=NR20; K = O, S, NR21 eller CR22R23; L = NR24 eller CR25R26; n = 0 eller 1; M = O, C=O, NR27 eller CR28R29; Q = O, S, NR30, CR31R32, C=O, C=S, S=O, SO2 eller C=NR34; R = CR35 eller N; T = CR36 eller N; U = CR37 eller N; V = CR38 eller N; gruppene R16 til R19 kan for eksempel bety aryl eller (Ci-Ci5)alkyl, aryl(Ci-Cio)alken, og gruppene R20 til R32 og R34 til R38 kan i tillegg bety H eller heteroaryl; R39 og R40 betyr for eksempel (Ci-Ce)alkyl. Anionet kan også være R41O", R42COO' eller Cl", Br" eller I" (kombinert med Ag2O).
