Abstract

Den foreliggende oppfinnelsen omhandler valsing av sammenføyde metallvalseblokker, og mer spesifikt fremgangsmåter for å øke valseutbyttet og valseeffektivitet ved å minimalisere tap til skjæring og kutting ved valsing av sammenføyde valseblokker. Denne oppfinnelsen tilveiebringer en sammenføyd struktur for valsede aluminiumsprodukter som omfatter en kjerneblokk med redusert tverrsnitt i tykkelsesretningen på blokken i minst en av kantene parallelt med valseretningen. Minst en sekundær blokk er sammenføyd med kjerneblokken. Kantene på valseblokken kan ha en utskjæring eller en innsnevret form. Oppfinnelsen gir også en fremgangsmåte for å redusere tap ved skjæring og kutting ved valsing av sammenføyde valseblokker ved bruk av en kjerneblokk med redusert snittflate i tykkelsesretningen til blokken i minst en av blokkens kanter parallelt med valseretningen.
