Abstract

Gruppesendingssystemet i henhold til foreliggende oppfinnelse består av bærbare terminaler (40), kringkastingsdistribusjonstjenere (20) som distribuerer data ved kringkasting til de bærbare terminaler og gruppesendingsidentifikatortjenere (12) som forvalter gruppesendingsidentifikatorene som brukes av de bærbare terminaler for å avsøke data som er blitt distribuert ved kringkasting fra kringkastingsdistribusjonstjenerene. Hver bærbare terminal sender posisjonsinformasjon for den bærbare terminal og nettinformasjon om det nett (50, 51) som den bærbare terminal er forbundet med til gruppesendingsidentifikatortjenerene med en forutbestemt tidsstyring for oppdatering. Hver gruppesendingsidentifikatortjener spesifiserer den kringkastingsdistribusjonstjener som distribuerer data ved kringkasting til en bærbar terminal på grunnlag av posisjonsinformasjon og nettinformasjon fra den bærbare terminal og sender til den bærbare terminal gruppesendingsidentifikatorer for avsøkning av de data som er blitt distribuert fra den kringkastingsdistribusjonstjener som er blitt spesifisert.
