Abstract
Oppfinnelsen angår en fremgangsmåte for rensing av koksverk-avløpsvann som inneholder nitrogenforbindelser, cyanider og sulfider. l henhold til oppfinnelsen strømmer koksverk-avløpsvannet gjennom en reaktor (3) som inngår i et væskekretsløp (2) og som inneholder i det minste en innvendig porefri og gasspermeabel membranslange (5) som påvirkes av en oksygenholdig trykkgass (4). På utsiden av membranslangen (5) som omstrømmes av væsken opprettholdes en biofilm (6) i hvilken, i et oksygenrikt indre område (7) av denne på grunn av gasspermeabiliteten til membranslangen (5), det skjer en nitrifikasjon av nitrogenholdige forbindelser som inneholdes i avløpsvannet, til nitrater med høy nitrifikasjonsrate, og at det samtidig, i et oksygenfattig ytre område (8) av biofilmen (6), skjer en avnitrifikasjon av nitrater til elementært nitrogen.
