Abstract

En kompressorenhet omfatter en sentrifugalkompressor (1) for å komprimere en gass og en elektrisk motor (4) med en stator (5) og en rotor (6) for å drive kompressoren (1). Kompressoren (1) og den elektriske motoren (4) er anordnet i et felles gasstett hus (7), tilveiebragt med et gassinnløp (8) og et gassutløp (9). Statoren (5) er anordnet i et separat statorrom (21) hvilket er begrenset av en veggseksjon, som omgir statoren (5), av huset (7), en gasstett delevegg (22.2) hvilken strekker seg fritt mellom statoren (5) og rotoren (6) av den elektriske motoren (4), og i det minste én endevegg (22.1) hvilken strekker seg mellom deleveggen (22.2) og huset (7) av kompressorenheten. Deleveggen (22.2) omfatter et materiale av slik høy styrke at den forblir klar av statoren (5) og rotoren (6) under arbeidstrykket av gassen.
