Abstract

Det er et krav å fjerne oksygen fra olefinholdige prosesstrømmer som omfatter relativt lave nivåer av oksygen, karbonmonoksid, en relativt stor mengde hydrogen og eventuelt minst ett alkyn, spesielt fra produktstrømmer fra en autoterrmalkrakking av hydrokarbon. Det beskrives en fremgangsmåte for fjerning av oksygen fra slike strømmer uten signifikant hydrogenering av olefin og som omfatter å bringe gassblandingen i en reaksjonssone i kontakt med en katalysator omfattende minst ett metall eller et oksid av et metall valgt fra gruppen bestående av den 10. gruppen og den 11. gruppen i Elementenes Periodiske System i det metallet eller oksidet av metallet er båret på en oksidbærer, forutsatt at når katalysatoren omfatter minst ett metall eller oksid av et metall i den 10. gruppen i Elementenes Periodiske System omfatter katalysatoren også tinn og forutsatt at når katalysatoren omfatter minst ett metall eller oksid av et metall fra den 11. gruppen i Elementenes Periodiske System er oksidbæreren en zeolitt.
