Abstract
Oppfinnelsen gjelder en fremgangsmåte for nøytronmåling og for det formål å bestemme porøsiteten av en undergrunnsformasjon som omgir et borehull, uavhengig av berggrunnens densitet, idet fremgangsmåten går ut på: - fremføring av et verktøy langs borehullet, hvor verktøyet omfatter en kilde for nøytronstråling og minst én detektor i aksial avstand fra denne kilde, - generering av målt detektorrespons for vedkommende minst ene detektor og som da er slik at den angir nøytronstråling fra kilden i vekselvirkning med vedkommende jordformasjoner, - bearbeiding av den målte detektorrespons i samsvar med en forut fastlagt matematisk ligning, slik at det derved utledes en korrigert detektorrespons som er uavhengig av densiteten av vedkommende undergrunnsformasjon, og - bestemmelse av porøsiteten for den grunnformasjon som omgir borehullet ut i fra den angitte korrigerte detektorrespons. Oppfinnelsen gjelder også utstyr for utførelse av den omtalte fremgangsmåte.
