Abstract
Overraskende er det blitt oppdaget at ulempene ved de om- stendelige litteraturprosedyrene for å syntetisere 13,14- dihydroderivater av prostaglandin A, E og F kan overvinnes ved å anvende et nytt metyl-7-(2-hydroksy-5-(2-(2-oksira- ~:nyl)etyl) -4- (1,1,2,2 tetrametyl-1-silapropoksy)cyklo- pentyl)heptanoat-mellomprodukt, som kan syntetiseres fra kommersielt tilgjengelig metyl-7-[3-(R)-hydroksy-5-okso-l- cyklopent-l-yl]-heptanoat. Dette nye mellomprodukt kan kob- les med oksygen-, karbon-, svovel- og nitrogen-nukleofiler, i nærvær av en base eller en Lewis-syre, i en ringåpnings- prosess for å tilveiebringe 13,14-dihydroderivater av prostaglandin A, E og F.
