Abstract

Det omtales en anordning ved skip for posisjonering i forbindelse med utvinning av hydrokarboner til havs. Anordningen er kjennetegnet ved at skipet, tilnærmet ved dets midtparti eller fram mot et av dets endepunkter, på minst en dets skipssider, er påmontert en styrkeforbed- rende kappe/vangekonstruksjon med en gitt langskipslengde og tykkelse, hvilken kappe omfatter midler for opplagring av forankringsliner som forløper oppad fra havbunnen (11), samt at kappen eventuelt omfatter midler for utførelse av ballasteringsfunskjoner og/eller oppføring av stigerør. Anordningen er særlig velgnet for ombygging av tankskip, som opprinnelig er beregnet for andre transportoppgaver, til produksjonsskip utvinning av hydrokarboner.
