Abstract

A wall fixing base (1) mfd. from synthetic material is fixed to a wall with an expanding plug (2) and nail (3) into a drilled hole. The cable or tube clamp (5) incorporates a hinge (4) with two legs which form a preloaded U-shaped clamp. Once the base is fixed to the wall the U-clamp is rotated around the hinge so that it covers the head and snaps into place with a male key (6) on the base engaging with a slot (7) in the clamp. The cable or tube is then pressed into the clamp and locked in. An alternative fixing can be provided by which the base is fitted to a support rail.
