Description
Korte aanduiding: Waspoeder
De uitvinding heeft betrekking op een wondpoeder.
In vergelijking met andere farmaceutische preparaatvormen is het aantal verschillende wondpoeders betrekkelijk klein. De meeste preparaten voor randbehandeling zijn crèmes of zalven. De in de handel verkrijgbare wondpoeders bevatten in het algemeen 1 of 2 actieve stoffen, soms qp bijzondere dragers. Al deze poeders hebben het bezwaar, dat zij weinig algemeen toepasbaar zijn of uitsluitend door medisch geschoold personeel toegepast mogen worden of weliswaar veilig zijn, maar een geringe of dubieuze activiteit vertonen. In het algemeen berust de werking van de poeders op absorptie van geëxudeerd vocht, waarbij ten gevolge van de aanwezigheid van vocht eventuele geneesmiddelen via de vloeistof-fase in het weefsel dringen. Het toegangkelijk maken voor geneesmiddelen kan nog verder verbeterd worden door toepassing van keratolytische middelen.
De uitvinding verschaft nu een wondpoeder, dat algemeen toepasbaar is en dat ook geschikt is voor huishoudelijk gébruik bij kleine verwondingen en voor wondherstel bij kleine ingrepen.
De uitvinding verschaft een wondpoeder, dat tot kenmerk heeft, dat het als actief bestanddeel 40-60 gew.% van een combinatie van allantoïne met ten minste één andere stof met keratolytische werking, ten minste één andere stof met adstringerende werking, ten minste één stof met an-tifungus werking, ten minste één stof met bacteriostatisceh werking en ten minste één conserveermiddel bevat, waarbij een stof ook meer dan één van de genoemde werkingen kan vertonen, maar het totale aantal van de actieve componenten ten minste 5 bedraagt.
Alle actieve componenten van het onderhavige wondpoeder zijn qp zichzelf bekend, maar sommige ervan worden niet of zelden in een wondpoeder toegepast.
Allantoïne is een békend wondbéhandelingsmiddel, dat keratolytische en adstr ingerende werking bezit.
Enkele verdere geschikte coirponenten van het wondpoeder zijn de volgende:
Zwavel is een bekend middel met antimycotische en keratolytische werking.
Als antifungus middel kan men geschikt zirikundecenaat en/of unde-ceenzuur toepassen.
Als verder adstringerend middel kamt in de eerste plaats zinkoxide in aanmerking. In plaats van het zinkoxide kan men ook het enigszins basische calamine gebruiken. Dit bevat ook ijzer en veroorzaakt dus wat kleuring van het poeder. Hieraan kan men uit esthetische overwegingen al dan niet de voorkeur geven. Uiteraard is aluin ook een mogelijk adstrin-gerend middel, maar dit werkt nogal sterk en is niet onder alle omstandigheden geschikt.
Een multifunctioneel middel, dat bijzonder geschikt is als ccnpo-nent van het onderhavige wondpoeder, is ook salicylzuur of een zout daarvan. Dit heeft een bacteriostatische, fungicide en keratolytische werking.
Het wondpoeder volgens de uitvinding moet ook ten minste één conserveermiddel bevatten. Dit verruimt de toepasbaarheid en de mogelijkheid tot bewaren. Uiteraard dient men geen conserveermiddel te gébruiken, dat een irriterende werking cp de huid uitoefent. Bijzonder geschikte middelen zijn de hydroxybenzoëzure esters.
Een verdere mogelijke component is benzcylperoxide, dat keratolytische en bacteriostatische werking bezit. Een ander keratolytisch middel is natriunpyruvaat.
In bet verleden heeft men wel koolteer of houtteer of houtteer als cntetekingsremmend middel in wondbehandelingsndddelen opgenomen. In principe kan men een dergelijke teer ook in het onderhavige poeder opnemen, maar in verband met de bekende carcinogene eigenschappen van teer verdient dit niet de voorkeur, zelfs al komt de huid slechts korte tijd met een geringe concentratie daarvan in aanraking.
Een verder interessant keratolytisch middel is ureum.
Verder kan men in het wondpoeder voor bijzondere doeleinden nog een jeukstillend middel cpnemen, bijv. kamfer of fenol. Ten slotte is ook boorzuur, dat zoals bekend een verzachtende werking uitoefent, een in aanmerking komende component.
De onderlinge verhoudingen van de actieve componenten kunnen binnen ruime grenzen variëren, waarbij echter het zinkoxide (of calamine) de voornaamste component vormt, die 50-70% van de actieve component uitmaakt. Verder is het gewenst, dat het undeoenaat 25-25 gew.% van het actieve mengsel vormt.
Als drager kan men iedere voor huidpoeders geschikte drager gebruiken, maar omdat talk de neiging heeft te gaan klonteren wanneer het met vocht in aanraking komt, past men bij voorkeur kaolien of iets dergelijks toe. Verder kan men cm samenkoeken tegen te gaan eolloidaal Si02 toevoegen, zoals op zichzelf ook bekend is.
Volgens een in het bijzonder de voorkeur verdienende uitvoeringsvorm bevat het wondpoeder, betrokken op de totale samenstelling, de volgende actieve stoffen: 3-5% allantoïne, 1-2% zwavel, 10-18% zinkundece-naat, 0,7-1% salicylzuur, 24-32% zinkoxide en 0,1-0,2% ethyl- en/of pro-pylhydroxybenzoaat.
Het onderstaande, niet-beperkende voorbeeld licht de uitvinding nader toe.
Er werd een wondpoeder bereid, dat de volgende bestanddelen bevatte.

In dit mengsel werd vervolgens nog 2,5%, betrokken op het bovenstaande totaal cólloidaal Si02 cpgencmen. Dit wondpoeder werd in Jerusa-lem op een groot aantal babies bij de besnijdenis beproefd. Normaliter wordt op het wondje een of ander desinfecterend preparaat aangebracht ten einde ontstekingen te vermijden (vergelijk Genesis, XXXIV, XXV). In de praktijk blijken echter niet alle babies de gebruikelijke preparaten te verdragen. Met het onderhavige poeder werden dergelijke problemen niet gevonden, terwijl de wondjes ten minste even vlot genazen als in het geval van andere preparaten.
Eveneens in Israël liep een vrouw door een ongelukje in huis een nogal ernstige brandwond aan haar been op. In dat huis bevond zich bij toeval een monster van het bovengenoemde poeder, waarvan de samenstelling overigens aan de bewoners niet bekend was. De wond werd voorlopig met dit poeder bestrooid, waarna de vrouw zich per taxi naar het ziekenhuis begaf voor verdere behandeling. Daar aangekomen bleek bij onderzoek de wond er reeds zo goed uit te zien, dat de behandelende medicus geen verdere maatregelen nodig achtte.
Claims (12)
1. tandpoeder, met het kenmerk, dat het als actief bestanddeel 40-60 gew.% van een ccrabinatie van allantoïne met ten minste één andere stof met ksratolytische werking, ten minste één andere stof met adstrin- - gerende werking, ten minste één stof met antifungus werking, ten minste één stof met bacteriostatische werking en ten minste één conserveermiddel bevat, waarbij een stof ook meer dan één van de genoemde werkingen kan vertonen, maar het totale aantal van de actieve componenten ten minste 6 bedraagt.
2. tandpoeder volgens conclusie 1 of 2, met het kenmerk, dat het zwavel als antinycotisch en keratolytisch middel bevat.
3. tandpoeder volgens conclusies 1-3, met liet kenmerk, dat het zinkundecenaat en/of undeceenzuur als' antifungusmiddel bevat.
4. tandpoeder volgens conclusies 1-4, met het kenmerk, dat het zinkcKide of calamine als adstringerend middel bevat.
5. tandpoeder volgens conclusies 1-5, met het kenmerk, dat het salicylzuur of een zout ervan als bacteriostatisch, fungicide en keratolytisch middel bevat.
6. tandpoeder volgens conclusies 1-6, met het kenmerk, dat het ten minste één hydroxybenzoaat als conserveermiddel bevat.
7. tandpoeder volgens conclusies 1-7, met het kenmerk, dat het benzqylperoxide als keratolytisch en bacteriostatisch middel bevat.
