Abstract

The luggage rack comprises two lengthwise running pipes supported at or near a wheel axle. The two pipes are connected with a set of crossbars (5) with a U-shaped slide (7) provided on the back and movable in the longitudinal direction. Legs (8) of the U are slidably connected into guide openings in slide-blocks (10) on the carrier. The two slide-blocks are mounted on the crossbars, each block being split in a plane perpendicular to the centreline of the guide opening. The width of the split is less than the dia. of the crossbar, and enos in a cylindrical hole which is at most equal to the dia. of the crossbar so that the blocks slide over and clamp it.
