Werkwijze voor het bevestigen van een krimpnof op de uiteinden van de isolatiemantel van een thermisch geïsoleerde leiding.
De uitvinding heeft betrekking qp een werkwijze voor het bevestigen 5 van een krimpnof op de uiteinden van de uit thermoplastische kunststof bestaande isolatiemantel van een thermisch geïsoleerde leiding/ welke krimpnof dient ter overbrugging van aan elkaar bevstigde einden van de bdnnenpijp en tussen deze pijp en de krirrtprrof alsmede tussen de op afstand van elkaar gelegen einden van de mantel isolerende materialen 10 bevat.
Een dergelijke werkwijze is békend uit de praktijk. Met de krimpnof is het mogelijk de verbindingsplaats tussen twee aan elkaar bevestigde pijpeinden en het daaromheen aan te brengen isolatiemateriaal op onberispelijke wijze ten opzichte van de cmgeving af te sluiten. De 15 krimpnof kan met grote speling op ëën einde van een isolatiemantel worden geplaatst voordat de verbindingslas wordt gemaakt/ kan vervolgens ever de op afstand van elkaar gelegen einden van de isolatiemantels van de met elkaar verbonden pijpen worden geplaatst en daarna tot krimpen worden gebracht/ hetzij met een brander of hete luchttoestel danwel met 20 een eromheen te plaatsen uit twee helften bestaand oventje. Bij het krimpen sluit de mof met spanning aan cp de einden van de isolatiemantel, zodat een dichte verbinding wordt verkregen.
Een bezwaar van deze bekende werkwijze is dat de aanvankelijk uitstékende verbinding cp den duur aan kwaliteit verliest doordat de span-25 ning waarmee de krimpnof op de isolatiemantel aangrijpt door krimp geleidelijk verloren gaat. De aanvankelijk goede verbinding wordt dan een slechte verbinding, waardoorheen vocht Iran binnendringen in het cm de lasverbinding aangébrachte isolatiemateriaal, waardoor de pijp aldaar kan gaan roesten en het isolatiemateriaal kan worden aangetast.
30 Doel van de uitvinding is een werkwijze te verschaffen waarbij dit bezwaar niet meer kan optreden.
Dit doel wordt overeenkomstig de uitvinding bereikt doordat dat tussen het buitenvlak van de isolatiemantel en de nog niet gekrompen mof een eléktrische geleider wordt geplaatst die eventueel zelf is cmgeven 35 door een thermoplastische kunststof met in wezen soortgelijke verwékings- en smelteigenschappen als de kunststof van de isolatiemantel ai van de krimpnof, daarna de krimpnof tot krimpen wordt gébracht en nadat deze krimp is voltooid de mof en de mantel door elektrische verhitting met béhulp van de aangébrachte draden aan elkaar warden 40 gelast.
8300692 * '* -2- 0veree5&istig de uitvinding wordt dus vlak nadat de krimpverbin-ding tot stand is gebracht een smeltverbinding gecreëerd, die de mof en de isolatiemantel permanent met elkaar verbindt waardoor het niet meer van belang is of de door het krimpen verkregen klemspanning qp den duur 5 verloren gaat. De krimpmof heeft, voordat hij wordt gekrorpen, voldoende speelruimte cm de elektrische draad aan te brengen. Deze kan cm de mantel worden gewikkeld, waarna de krimpmof eroverheen wordt geschoven, uiteraard onder vrijlating van uiteinden die op een stroanbron kunnen worden aangesloten. Na het teweegbrengen van het krimpen is de elek-10 trische draad stevig ingéklemd. Wordt deze dan elektrisch verhit tot een tanperatuur waarbij de mantel van de draad smelt alsmede de aangrenzende vlakken van de mof en van de buis, dan ontstaat mede onder invloed van de klemspanning een uitstekende smeltverbinding. Volgens de uitvinding wordt dus gébruik gemaakt van de eigenschappen van de krimpmof en worden 15 deze gékcmbineerd met het op zichzelf wel elders békende tot stand brengen van een las door middel van eléktrische of induktieve verhitting. Aan de mof zijn geen extra voorzieningen nodig. De uitvinding maakt het dus mogelijk onder gebruikmaking van de toch aanwezige speling bij de niet gékrcmpen mof een permanente verbinding te 20 creèren zonder dat daarvoor meer investeringen nodig zijn dan een eléktrische draad en een stroombron.
De werkwijze volgens de uitvinding kan nog verder worden vereenvoudigd door voor de eléktrische draad een draad te nemen, die twee aders heeft, die aan SSn einde met elkaar worden verbonden. Een 25 dergelijke draad hoeft dan slechts aan ëën einde blank te worden genaakt zodat de twee geleiders in elkaar kunnen worden gedraaid waarna de draad in tenminste SSn winding cm de mantel wordt geslagen, waarna de mof eroverheen wordt geschoven.
De uitvinding zal thans nader worden toegelicht aan de hand van de 30 tekening.
Deze toont in doorsnede de verbindingsplaats van twee thermisch geïsoleerde pijpstukken.
De tékening toont twee pijpstukken 1 en 2, die bijvoorbeeld met behulp van een V-las 3 aan elkaar zijn bevestigd. Deze pijpen 1 en 2 35 zijn over het grootste deel van hun lengte angeven door een isolatiemantel 4 respéktievelijk 5, bestaande uit een kunststof. De ruimte tussen de pijpen 1 respéktievelijk 2 en de mantels 4 respéktievelijk 5 is opgevuld met een isolatiemateriaal, bijvoorbeeld een schuimkunststof 6 respéktievelijk 7.
40 Voordat bijvoorbeeld de las 3 wordt genaakt wordt over SSn van de 83 0 0 69 2 -3- mantels een uit een thermoplastische kunststof bestaande krimgmof geschoven zoals met onderbroken lijnen is aangegeven bij 8. Deze krimpnafis zodanig gerékt, dat hij een ruime speling 9 heeft ten opzichte van de mantel. Cm elk uiteinde van de mantel 4 respéktievelijk wordt nu een twee-aderige elektrische geleider 10 gewikkeld in de vorm 5 van tenminste Sën winding. Aan Sën einde warden de twee aders met elkaar verbinden en aan het andere einde kan aansluiting plaatsvinden cp de schematisch aangeduide stroombron 11. De krimpnof kan nu gemakkelijk over de beide windingen 10 heen worden geschoven zoals met onderbreken lijnen aangegeven bij 12.
10 De ruimte 13 rondan de las 3 en tussen de uiteinden van de isola-tiemantels 4, 6 respëktievelijk 5, 7 kan zijn cpgevuld met isolerend materiaal voordat de mof 12 is geplaatst, maar dit kan ook later plaatsvinden door het inspuiten van een opschuimende kunststof.
Na het verschuiven van de mof in de met 12 aangeduide stand wordt 15 deze verhit op op zichzelf békende wijze waardoor de mof krinpt en de in de ondefhelft van de tékening aangegeven vorm aanneemt, waarbij deze mof, zoals aangegeven in het linker gedeelte bij 14 met klemspanning gaat liggen rondcm de eléktrische geleider 10.
Wordt daarna voldoende strocrn door de geleider 10 gevoerd, dan 20 smelt diens cnhulling 15 en deze versmelt met het kunststof materiaal van de mantel 5 en het kunststof materiaal van de mof, zodat de smelt— verbinding ontstaat zoals deze is aangegeven bij 16.

Claims (2)

1. Werkwijze voor het bevestigen van een krinpnof op de uiteinden van de uit thermoplastische kunststof bestaande isolatiemantel van een 5 thermisch geïsoleerde leiding# welke krinpnof dient ter overbrugging van de aan elkaar gelaste-einden van de binnenpijp en tussen deze pijp en de krinpnof alsmede tussen de op afstand van elkaar gelegen einden van de mantel isolerend materiaal bevat, met het kenmerk, dat tussen het buitenvlak van de isolatiemantel en de nog niet gekrompen mof een elék-10 trische geleider wordt geplaatst die eventueel zelf is angeven door een thermoplastische kunststof met in wezen soortgelijke verwekings- en smelteigenschappen als de kunststof van de isolatiemantel en van de krinpnof, daarna de krinpnof tot krimpen wordt gébracht en nadat deze krimp is voltooid de mof en de mantel door elektrische verhitting met 15 behulp van de aangebrachte draden aan elkaar worden gelast.
