Abstract

The deflection system is for an in-line colour TV tube, which consists of a deflection winding for the image, a line deflection winding and a soft magnetic ring surrounding the line deflection coil. The ends of the deflection coils (11-14) on the side of the electron gun are parallel to the Z-axis. The segments (9, 10) of the soft magnetic material are fitted between the deflection coils in an additive sense. The segments are mainly transverse to the magnetic field of the image deflection windings. They are located entirely on the screen side of the deflection system.
