Abstract

The vehicle has a chassis supported at one or both ends on a slewing frame. This frame (22) has a first axle fixed in position, with wheels in fixed positions on it, and a second axle, also fixed but whose wheels are mounted on steering stub-axles. These latter wheels are steered by a linkage fro the chassis. Their stub-axle arms can be coupled together by a transverse track rod, linked to a fixed arm extending downwards from the chassis, typically mounted on a sleeve extending through the frame slewing ring.
