Abstract

The mechanism for packing edible pultry pieces, comprises closure (12) and cutting elements (13) which pull a flat strip of heat or pressure-sealing packing material (4) from a supply (3) along a packing table (5), fold it lengthwise, cut it transversely and seal the open ends. The table is transparent or translucent and a lattice work moves below it, synchronously with the material. A light source (11) below the lattice shows moving shadow stripes on the table indicating the regular distances where the strip of material will be cut, to facilitate the contents to be packed.
