Abstract

The paper sheet supply mechanism is for feeding individual sheets from a pile (11) to a further device (12) via a dispensing point (13). It comprises a supply roller (21) rotatable on a shaft (22), a first end-less belt (31) in contact with a first postion of the roller, and feeding rollers (25, 28) to feed at least one sheet to the roller in a plane tangential to it. The roller is rotated towards the point (13) and means are provided to move the belt (31) in the opposite direction, the belt (31) approaching the roller at an acute angle (alpha) relative to the plane mentioned. A second belt (41) is in contact with a second portion of the roller (21) and approaches this roller at a second acute angle (beta) to the plane, which is smaller than the first angle (alpha).
