Abstract

A capsule for therapeutically active substances has a wall which is of a material soluble in the stomach or intestine, e.g. gelatine. The capsule is closed by a cover and forms a holder for the therapeutical material; the interior being divided by >=1 partition into >=2 or more compartments. The separate compartments may contain similarly active therapeutical substances or alternatively, the medicaments contained may differ in their effect. The solubility of the materials of the outer capsule and of the covers is different. Alternatively the speed at which the material dissolve may be the same. The contents of the separate compartments may be the same in quantity or they may be different. The capsule allows the same or differing materials to be released into the alimentary duct, at different intervals of time in the same or in widely differing quantities.
