Abstract
The upper and lower weaves of the carpet each consist of >=2 binder thread systems and one filler or "Stergel" thread system, >=2 systems of pile threads are used on the carpet pattern and of these >=1 at a time is threaded once through each of the two weaves, with the dead pile threads bound in simultaneously by two wool threads passed simultaneously to form lock stitches, through the "windows" of the binder threads, sepd. by the "Stergel" thread of both the upper and the lower fabrics.
