Appts for treatment of a moving textile strip, esp a washing machine, comprises a tank holding a quantity of liquid and contg. a rotating drum the outer surface of which has a series of parallel and longitudinally extending corrugations; guide elements for guiding the textile strip over at least a part of the drum; at least one roll more or less contacting the drum near the part along which the strip is guided, and provided with projections regularly spaced from each other and designed to engage the drum corrugations as the drum and roll rotate in such a way that they cooperate to force a flow of liquid through the fabric passing between them.
