Abstract

The present invention relates to a system and method to reduce data transfer of network devices in an lnternet of Things enabled environment. The system comprises of one master controller (102) on a cloud platform in communication with at least one device (108a, 108b, 108c) on a remote site; at least one model catalog repository (104) on the cloud platform for storing rules, patterns or models; and at least one device information repository (106) on the cloud platform for storing devices information and information collected from the device. The system reduces numerical data and stream data, wherein numerical data is reduced by compacting duplicate entries; and setting rate of change and an upper or a lower bound of value, whereas stream data is reduced by tagging data by means of removing or retaining desired data by user; and substituting similar repetitive pattern of data with a shorten pattern value.
