Abstract
PROVIDED ARE A METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN AMINO RESIN, WHICH IS ADVANTAGEOUS NOT ONLY IN THAT THE FREE FORMALDEHYDE CONTENT OF THE AMINO RESIN CAN BE EFFECTIVELY REDUCED, BUT ALSO IN THAT THE FORMALDEHYDE CONTENT IN THE AMINO RESIN IS NOT INCREASED EVEN DURING THE STORAGE, AND A LOW FREE FORMALDEHYDE AMINO RESIN OBTAINED BY THE METHOD. A METHOD FOR PRODUCING A LOW FREE FORMALDEHYDE AMINO RESIN, WHICH HAS THE STEPS OF: (1) CAUSING AN AMINO COMPOUND AND AN ALDEHYDE TO UNDERGO A POLYCONDENSATION REACTION IN A SOLVENT TO OBTAIN A REACTION MIXTURE CONTAINING AN AMINO RESIN; AND (2) HEATING THE REACTION MIXTURE OBTAINED IN THE STEP (1) TO 80 TO 150°C SO AS TO CAUSE THE ORGANIC PHASE TO SUFFER REFLUXING OR DESOLVATION, AND A LOW FREE FORMALDEHYDE AMINO RESIN OBTAINED BY THE METHOD.
