Abstract
A biaxially oriented polyester film obtained from three layers and having a surface layer (layer A), an intermediate layer (layer B), and a surface layer (layer C). Layer A: contains, with respect to the weight of the layer A, 0.05 weight% to 1.0 weight% of inorganic particles and/or organic particles for which the volume average particle diameter (dA) is 0.1 µm to 1.0 µm and the Mohs' hardness is 7 or less; and has a thickness of 3.0 µm to 8.0 µm. Layer B: contains inorganic particles and/or organic particles for which the volume average particle diameter (dB) is 0.3 µm to 1.5 µm and Mohs' hardness is 7 or less, containing, with respect to the weight of the layer B, 0.6 mass% to 6 weight% of the inorganic particles with Mohs' hardness of 7 or less, and containing, with respect to the weight of the layer B, 0.05 weight% to 5 weight% of the organic particles; and has a thickness of 10.0 µm to 35.0 µm. Layer C: contains, with respect to the weight of the layer C, 0.03 weight% to 1.0 weight% of organic particles, which have a volume average particle diameter (dC) of 0.2 µm to 1.0 µm and one or two peaks in the particle size distribution curve; and has a thickness of 0.5 µm to 2.0 µm. The film satisfies formula (1) and the total thickness of the layers is 20 µm to 40µm. (dA) < (dc) ≤ (dB) ... Formula (1)
